Description
I am naturally compassionate and caring. This translates into empathy and dedication to duty in a professional context. I am person centred hence put the client's need as priority at all times. I have worked in different care environments and have experience working with a range of persons. This includes adults, elderly and children. I will always refer to clients' care plan, do a risk assessment and what to do to mitigate any potential risks. These will be in liaison with the client and family. As your private carer, I will be there for you as and when you need me. Your safeguarding is my obligation. I am also obliged to arrive on time as you need me. Will not keep you waiting at all. I am reliable, hardworking and flexible to accommodate any additional tasks and duties so long as it's within the confines of my skills and training.
I have basic numeracy and literacy skills. I can communicate in writing and verbally at all levels. What I enjoy most is establishing and maintaining professional relationships whilst focusing on the needs of clients. My approach is to let you take the lead while I adhere to your instructions. In the event where I need to use my initiative I wouldn't hesitate to do so to deliver quality care to promote well-being and maximise independence.
I have computer and Internet skills if and when needed. Care is delivered safely applying all safety considerations.
I am accountable with everything done in providing care. I do and maintain confidentiality at all times except in exceptional cases where it's not necessary. I make documentation on every encounter with clients in a professional manner.
I maintain data protection of documents and keep secure all care notes and files.
Communication is key in building a rapport with my clients. I am positive that through communication needs will be identified and addressed.
I also attend church on Sundays and able to support persons needing to go to church. I am available for work weekends/wdays.
